Youth Climate Leadership Workshop

  • Home ReSource 1515 Wyoming Street Missoula, MT, 59801 United States (map)

This workshop is a free, two-day environmental leadership workshop for Montana youth ages 14-18, facilitated by Home ReSource and Families for a Livable Climate. The workshop pairs hands-on, immersive exercises with practical advocacy skills training to equip high schoolers with the experience, knowledge, and empowerment needed to get involved in the climate movement and meaningfully advocate for change.

Utilizing the research and framework of climate leaders including Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Katharine Hayhoe, and Citizens Climate Lobby, this training encourages students to leverage their own strengths, values, and personal story to meet the needs of their community. It will cover internal, relational, communal, and economic dimensions of action and change, meeting students where they are at and incorporating examples and opportunities relevant to them.

We will meet both days at 10am in the Home ReSource Community Room, 1515 Wyoming St, Missoula. Lunch is included. Please bring a water bottle, jacket, and something to write with/on.
